To A Hero.

When your a little girl your hero is someone who is make believe. Its super girl, GI Joe, the Hulk. Wonder Woman or your imaginary friend. You dream of becoming these things and of being able to do the things that they do. You want to rescue the world and be cool the way they are. When looking up the definition of hero this is what came up

he·ro

  [heer-oh]  Show IPA
noun, plural he·roes; for 5 also he·ros.
1.
a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.
2.
a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and isregarded as a model or ideal: He was a local hero when he saved the drowning child.

When I was younger My hero wasn't some imaginary person, It was my cousin Angie. She was my best friend and devoted so much of her time to me. Instead of hanging out with her friends on the weekend she would come pick me up and we could go on double dates with another couple. When I would have school pictures and she was a teenager she would wake up at 6 in the morning to come do my hair for me because she knew it would mean the world to me if she did. She would invite me on dates to plays and I would hang out with her and her boyfriend. She was my side kick. Her and I would drive around blasting Dixie chicks and singing at the top of our lungs. When she decided she was going to go on a adventure with her best friend to Hawaii for the summer, I was mad. I didn't know what I was going to do with out her. My heart ached while she was gone. I would watch the dixie chicks and cry... haha. It sounds stupid but when someone who means the world to you that you see on a weekly basis leaves for the summer, its tough. When I think of my childhood I think of her and all the things she taught me. She taught me to love my family unconditionally and no matter whats important in your life whether boyfriends or friends that family is always important and always comes first. She taught me what a true friend is. even though we are both married now and she has kids, I can still say she is one of my best friends. She has taught me a lot about mother hood and how to love your children. When she was in the hospital for months when having her second child she taught me what a real fighter and hero looks like. Even though we are miles apart, she will always be one of my hero's.

Angie, thanks for teaching me, and loving me and for being there for me while I grew up. I love you and I will always look back to my childhood with fond memories with you as my side kick.

Sometimes.

Sometimes I think about Logan where Colby and I fell in love..  I miss those hot summers and COLD winters. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if we still lived there and what our lives would be like. Those Logan summers and sunsets are something that can't be beat. Sometimes I miss my little old house that had paned wooden windows and dirty dishes in the sink Sometimes I miss old main and the movies on the Hper every fall. Sometimes I miss going to my second home to see my second parents while I was in Logan. Sometimes I miss those Aggie basketball games and cheering unnecessary chants to the other team. Sometimes I miss those drives to and from salt lake with Colby, just talking about random things and listening to music while the sun goes down. Sometimes, I like to think back and just remember the small things..

rusty

Say hello to Rusty... :)

We went to the super pet adoption on saturday.. Just to go look.. haha. We walked around for a while and then ran into this little guy. Colby didn't want to take him out of his crate and walk him around because we weren't suppose to get any animals and he knew if we took him out we would want him. Well, I wanted to meet him so I took him out and a few feet away found a wall to sit against. Rusty (whose name was Malibu before) came and cuddled up right on my lap and laid his head on my chest. Colby immediately said no, then looked at me. thats when the tears started rolling down my face. thinking we would leave him in that place when he had the chance to come home with us and live a happy life made me so sad. Well needless to say he came home with us. He is such a good dog. He slept out of his crate last night next to our bed and did not move the whole night. We haven't heard him bark yet, or for that matter heard anything out of him. He is super skinny so we need to fatten him up. Bruno loves him and wants to play but I dont think rusty quite knows what to do. Finally today he came out of his shell and played with the Bruster for a little bit. It made me feel so good. I hope they end up being best friends. We love them. We couldn't ask for better dogs!

Oh, Hi spring.

Geeze, Time passes so fast! We have been in our home now for about 4 months! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I have loved every moment in our house. We have THE best neighbors anyone could ask for and our life is going so well. Bruno is already 15 weeks old and brings so much laughter into our home. He seriously cracks me up all the time. such a goon.. He is such a cuddle buddy and has finally caught on to going to the door when he needs to go to the bathroom. (no accidents this week so far, knock on wood..) He is so smart. I am such a proud mom.. ahah. I cant believe its already spring time. I love coming home to Colby and Bruno and going to the park, or on a walk, or just hanging out with our neighbors in our front or back yards. Recently I have started going to zumba. Its so fun! I definitely feel like an idiot but its a way good work out. .. as much as I love summer, is it halloween yet? I have decided to start looking for some new decorations early. Does anyone know of a cute website to find halloween decorations?

unfortunately I have zero pictures to show. Sorry.

This post is a shout out to Leah :)

Colby's birthday was last week! I love when its fall because then its his birthday. and fall is the best time of year as well! so, we went to park city and had dinner. I also took him shopping at the outlets. It was a lot of fun! I love him so much and I am so happy to be his wife and to able to celebrate his life with him!

Well! We are all moved out and into my parents house. It was definitely a way long week but we did it and now we have a few months to rest until we have to do it again.  (yuck.)  Last night was my favorite night of fall. It was witches night out! I wasn't planning on buying anything too crazy just a few halloween decorations possibly. But, the first store we went into.. we  found an item we loved. SOOO we bought it! WE ARE THE NEW OWNERS OF A TUFTED BED!!!!! yayayyay!! I have been looking since we got married and we finally found one in perfect time for our new house! I will post pictures when we get it set up. we also went and looked at puppies this weekend. obviously we aren't going to get one while at my parents house but i seriously love looking and playing with puppies. It was so fun playing with them and I can't wait to get one of our own!

Yes, I love this flannel and wear it once a week... haha..obviously since it was in the first picture as well a week before this.

Oatmeal anyone?

I am LOVING Jamba Juices oatmeal. I could eat it everyday.

Please do your self a favor and try it.

This is for you Marta!

My friend Marta has been asking me for pictures of my place (apartment) to see what it looks like with my halloween decorations up and everything. Well I promised her a few weeks ago I would put some up but never got around to it. Now that we are moving again our house is a SERIOUS disaster so I only have picture. SORRY MARTA!

Family.

A few weeks ago my family went to Jackson hole. Its one of my favorite places to go. We go every year during labor day weekend. This year we decided to mix things up so instead of going to the Bar J Wranglers we went to the Bar T 5. The last time we went to the Bar T 5 was when I was 5. It was so fun to go to a different cowboy show. I always love the entertainment in Jackson. We also went on a river raft ride to see scenery. We saw at least 5 beavers and a bald eagle. It was pretty sweet.

I love it when my mother in law comes into town. We only see her a few times a year and when she comes its always nice. She was here this last weekend which meant we spent most of it with her and Colby's brothers and sister.  Whenever we are together we always seem to have a smack down. This weekend it was crazy. for the majority of the time we were all wrestling, biting, slapping or scratching each other.  It was seriously so fun. I love having a husband and older brother who aren't afraid to play with me. Of course they go pretty easy on me but I still end up loosing almost every time.
